Terms of Service

Last Updated and Effective Date: September 21, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the access and use of the WireSizer Pro website (https://wiresizerpro.com), its associated mobile applications, and all related electrical calculation services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by WireSizer Pro (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing, browsing, or utilizing the Service, the user (“you,” “your”) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If a user does not agree to these Terms, they are expressly prohibited from utilizing the Service and must discontinue access immediately.

1. Critical Engineering and Safety Disclaimer

The Service provides computational tools designed to estimate direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) cable sizing, voltage drop, and ampacity limits based on user-provided inputs and generalized reference data from bodies such as the National Electrical Code (NEC), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC).

The calculations generated by the Service are theoretical and are provided strictly for educational, preliminary planning, and informational purposes. The Service does not render professional electrical engineering advice, nor does it serve as a substitute for a stamped engineering design, official electrical permit drawings, or the localized professional judgment of a licensed electrician or electrical engineer.

  • Code Compliance: Users acknowledge that all electrical installations must comply strictly with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local municipal code amendments, and the specific requirements of the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
  • Site-Specific Variables: Users assume full responsibility for verifying that calculations account for unstated site-specific conditions, including ambient temperature extremes, specialized conduit fill grouping factors, mutual heating from adjacent circuits, and terminal temperature limits.
  • Physical Hazards: Users acknowledge that improper wire sizing, inadequate overcurrent protection, or the failure to apply necessary derating factors can result in catastrophic equipment damage, thermal runaway, structural fires, electrical shock, or death.

2. Description of the Service

WireSizer Pro delivers professional-grade utilities for electrical dimensioning. The Service evaluates user-defined parameters—including system voltage, continuous and non-continuous load current, cable run length, and maximum allowable voltage drop—to return minimum cable cross-sectional areas in both American Wire Gauge (AWG) and square millimeters (mm²). Furthermore, the Service provides recommendations for fuses and circuit breakers based on standard 125% continuous load rules and terminal temperature constraints.

The Service is subject to continuous development. The operators reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any calculator, feature, or the entire platform at any time without prior notice or liability.

3. Acceptable Use and User Responsibilities

Access to the Service is granted under a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license intended for personal or internal professional use. To maintain the integrity of the platform, users must adhere strictly to the behavioral and technical constraints outlined below.

  • Engineering Malpractice: Utilizing the Service as the sole basis for life-critical or mission-critical electrical installations without independent professional verification; misrepresenting professional qualifications or licensing status when presenting generated reports.
  • System Integrity: Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary calculation algorithms, underlying source code, or reference databases; utilizing automated systems, scripts, or web scrapers to harvest data or overwhelm server infrastructure.
  • Unlawful Conduct: Utilizing the Service to violate local, state, federal, or international electrical codes; distributing malware; or interfering with the access and functionality of other users on the platform.

4. Subscriptions, Purchases, and Consumer Rights

4.1 Pricing, Billing, and Renewals

Specific functionalities of the Service, including ad-free interfaces, premium export utilities, and historical calculation cloud storage, may require a one-time purchase or an ongoing subscription. All applicable fees are presented transparently prior to purchase. By supplying payment credentials, users authorize the automatic deduction of the specified fees. Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of the specified billing cycle unless explicitly canceled by the user prior to the renewal date.

4.2 European Consumer Right of Withdrawal

Consumers residing within the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA), or jurisdictions with equivalent consumer protection frameworks (e.g., the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act / Lag om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler), are granted a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen (14) days without providing a justification.

Digital Execution Exception: Users expressly acknowledge and agree that the purchase of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g., premium application features or digital calculation exports) initiates the immediate performance of the contract. By consenting to this immediate delivery, the user acknowledges the forfeiture of their statutory right of withdrawal once the digital content is made accessible.

Where the right of withdrawal remains applicable, users must notify customer support via an unambiguous statement prior to the expiration of the withdrawal period. Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method within fourteen (14) days of receiving the withdrawal notification.

5. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Licensing

All textual content, interface designs, algorithmic structures, graphics, and logos displayed within the Service constitute the exclusive intellectual property of WireSizer Pro and its licensors, safeguarded by international copyright, trademark, and trade secret legislation.

The algorithms driving the Service utilize data tables and physical constants published by standard-setting organizations, including the IEEE, IEC, and NFPA. These entities do not endorse the Service. Any third-party software, open-source libraries, or freeware incorporated into the Service is utilized under their respective licenses, and the providers of such software disclaim all warranties and liabilities related to their use.

6. Digital Services Act (DSA) Compliance

Pursuant to the European Union Digital Services Act (Regulation EU 2022/2065), WireSizer Pro functions as an intermediary service provider.

The platform does not rely on behavioral profiling or machine learning recommender systems to curate electrical output. All calculation recommendations are deterministic, generated exclusively through the application of standardized engineering formulas to the specific numerical inputs provided by the user. WireSizer Pro enforces content moderation policies strictly related to technical abuse, reserving the right to restrict or terminate accounts that generate malicious server load or utilize the platform for illegal activities.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS DELIVERED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, DEVOID OF WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

WIRESIZER PRO AND ITS LICENSORS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. NO GUARANTEE IS MADE THAT THE CALCULATIONS WILL BE ENTIRELY ERROR-FREE, THAT THE SERVICE WILL OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION, OR THAT THE PROVIDED DIMENSIONING WILL SATISFY THE INTERPRETATIONS OF LOCAL MUNICIPAL INSPECTORS OR THE AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION.
